To determine the right levels of each element in the mix, it is useful to picture a stage on which each element takes a position. On the stage, elements are divided front to back and left to right. Each element will be somewhere on the front-back spectrum, and somewhere on the left-right spectrum. Choosing the right positions on the stage for each element will result in a well-balanced mix. You can picture the mixing stage like this. In the following lessons, we will discuss how to place elements on different places on the mixing stage.
